This strip presents a series of falsehoods. Well, just one main lie. I don't work at a drawing board. I use a Wacom tablet now. This whole strip and well, the last seven strips or so have all been done digitally. Essentially, there is no paper wastage now. Cos believe me, I get frustrated really fucking easily and most strips generally go through about five or six or seven sets of pencils before I just give up and ink it. Then there was the constant rubbing out of pencils and yadda yadda yadda, its just much, much easier doing the strips like this. I love it.

Now, I just want to say to everyone reading this and to everyone who has ever read Drastic, thank you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, thank you. Seriously, I am so grateful for everyone for liking Drastic. I know I sound incredibly gushy and whatever, but fuck it. Over the last month, we have tripled our readership. Yes, tripled. In September, we had 523 unique visitors and in October we hand a whopping 1586 unique visitors. And I know myself and Gill have really broken our backs getting the comic to an impossibly high standard, but it's down to you that we have such success. I know Penny-Arcade's traffic of roughly 3 and million a week really just pisses all over our numbers but fuck it, I feel that we really have accomplished something major here. And it's all down to you for reading the comic. Thank you. Now, as a mark of my gratitude, I'd like everyone who's reading this to send me a mail to adam@drasticcomic.com and I'll send you out some really special drastic stuff. Its good shit, believe me.

On a side note, I'm really terrified with what I'll have to do to top last months numbers….well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Now, about today's comic. I couldn't do with I do without Gill. I know she just sees herself as just the editor, but she's more than that. I really think of her as the writer of this. Sure, I may come up with the ideas, but it's different. Even when Drastic started off, and there was supposed to be a "writer," I still wrote all the scripts, and there was a certain amount of resentment and resistance on my part to actually write the scipts because at that time, I didn't see it as "my job" and there should have been somebody else doing that. So for what seems the longest time, I'm essentially been writing for myself. And I was never really happy with what I was putting out there as I always felt, with me being on my own, I was essentially pissing in the wind. I hated it. But then Gill came on as my collaborator. And I finally had someone to work with. Someone I could write for. There is now a synergy, a real solidity to the scripts. And that is only a result of us working together. So yeah, Gill is fucking integral to this whole deal.

Now, comics. My pick this week, is for Chosen, by our pals, Mark Millar and Peter Gross. This is long overdue for a collection as it was out in issues ages ago. I know there's a good reason why, I just can't think of it right now. I'm not going to go to much into the content of the book as discovering the premise is really part of the joy of this book. I read the first issue without knowing a single goddamn thing about it (a feat now unheard of in my reading habits, cheers internet.) and I loved it and you will too. Head down to the 3rd place and pick it up. You won't be disappointed, let me tell you. The 3rd place can be found on Crow street, temple bar, Dublin 2. It can be found right next to the back door of the Foggy Dew pub.

Well, that's my lot today. I'll see you guys on Monday.

Any questions, comments and complaints, go to adam@drasticcomics.com. Cheers guys.

Todays comics comes from my continually need to retire from the web-comic world. I'm so very paranoid I'm holding Adam back, that he says if I offer my resignation one more time, he'll actually take it.
